iHerb Bahrain Free Shipping

There are five different delivery services that ship to Bahrain. They all deliver by air:

  • DHL Express
  • FedEx
  • ARAMEX
  • Elite
  • AJ EX

Three of these five services offer free shipping if you order over a certain amount: AJ EX, Elite, and Aramex. If you choose AJ EX, shipping is free for orders over 20 Bahraini Dinars (BD 20.000). For Elite, free shipping is available for orders of BD 30.000 or more. Aramex also offers free shipping, but please note that duties and taxes may be collected upon delivery if you choose this service.

As you can see in the screenshot, we placed an order for BD 32.756 and received free shipping by choosing AJ EX. We also want to tell you that if you choose AJ EX or Elite, all taxes and duties are already included in the price of your order. This means that when you receive your package, you won’t have to pay anything extra, unlike with Aramex, FedEx, and DHL Express.

Which delivery service should you choose?

We recommend AJ EX and Elite. Why? Because they offer free shipping, and all taxes are already included in the order total. In our opinion, the best option remains Elite. They have special climate control in the vehicles that transport your packages. This is very important, especially in hot weather. For example, things like Omega-3 can spoil from the heat, chocolate can melt, and probiotics will arrive in special refrigerators, so their quality won’t be affected. If free shipping is important to you and you don’t mind that taxes might be paid upon delivery, then Aramex is also a good option.

However, we tried placing a large iHerb order. As you can see in the screenshot, the total of our order was BD 519.792, and we saw that duties of BD 69.756 appeared. Based on our experience, orders over approximately 280 Bahraini Dinars will be subject to taxes.

To avoid these taxes, we recommend placing orders with a total value of up to 280 Bahraini Dinars.

And here’s a life hack from our editorial team: if you still want to order a lot of items, just split your large order into several smaller ones. Place the first order today, and the next one 24 hours later. Then, your packages will arrive at customs at different times and will not be combined. Thanks to this, you can avoid paying taxes. We recommend doing this if your order turns out to be larger than 280 Bahraini Dinars.

What You Can and Cannot Order on iHerb in Bahrain

iHerb conveniently shows which items you won’t be able to order in Bahrain. When you look at a product and it cannot be shipped to your country, you will see the word “Unavailable.” There isn’t a complete list of prohibited items even on the iHerb website.

What to Order

However, we looked through different products and found some that you won’t be able to order. As you can see in the screenshots above, these items are marked as “Unavailable.”

We noticed that among the prohibited supplements were products containing pork, certain hormones, and even some types of Omega-3 and Vitamin D3. It’s good that iHerb immediately shows that these items cannot be ordered in Bahrain. This way, you won’t have to worry about problems at customs.

How to Pay for Your iHerb Order?

The iHerb website for Bahrain offers a whopping 34 ways to pay for your order! Among the most convenient options, you’ll find Visa and Mastercard bank cards, as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

So, what’s the best way to pay to avoid losing money on double currency conversion? We recommend choosing to pay in US dollars. This way, you’ll definitely avoid extra charges that can happen when your Dinars are first converted to another currency and then back again. And here’s another bonus: if you ever need to return an item or cancel your order, you will get back the exact amount you paid in dollars.
