  • Global Air Locker with Tracking: Delivery to a locker (parcel station).

Interestingly, the Global Air Home Delivery and Global Air Locker options are sort of aggregators. iHerb selects the fastest and most cost-effective delivery service for your order from among its partners.

  • For Global Air Home Delivery, it could be: Cainiao Network, Kerry Express, or SF Express.
  • For Global Air Locker, SF Locker or Kerry Locker are used. You choose a convenient locker when placing your order, and once the package is delivered, the carrier will send an SMS with pickup instructions.

Although you only see 2-3 options during checkout, iHerb collaborates with a large number of carriers in Hong Kong. Here’s the full list with their features:

How Long Does It Take to Get an iHerb Order in Hong Kong?

Thanks to the local warehouse, delivery is usually fast.

  • Officially: iHerb states the possibility of next-day delivery for in-stock items if ordered before 1:00 PM.
  • Reality (our experience): In our order from April 10, 2025 (Thursday), the expected delivery date for all three options (Global Air Home, Global Air Locker, SF Express Home) was listed as April 14-16 (Monday-Wednesday). So, the actual timeframe was 4-6 days.

Please keep in mind that these are estimated times. Sometimes delivery may take longer due to airfreight delays (if the item is not from a local warehouse). But in general, Hong Kong has some of the fastest delivery times around the world.

Customs Limits and Taxes in Hong Kong

Good news: Hong Kong is a free port. This means there are no customs duties on most imported goods. You don’t need to worry about exceeding cost limits, as in many other countries, when ordering vitamins, cosmetics, food, etc., from iHerb.

However, there are exceptions! Duties are only charged on four categories of goods:

  • Hard liquor (Liquor)
  • Tobacco and cigarettes (Tobacco)
  • Hydrocarbon oil (Hydrocarbon oil)
  • Methyl alcohol (Methyl alcohol)

Most iHerb products don’t fall into these categories. But if you decide to order something specific, keep this in mind.

Why then does iHerb write “Duties & Taxes may be collected at delivery”? Likely, this is a standard disclaimer that applies to:

  • Possible excise taxes on the four mentioned categories (if you order them).
  • Potential handling or import fees from the delivery service itself (though usually, there are none for standard iHerb orders).
  • A small risk tied to currency fluctuations, if the order value theoretically exceeds some threshold (though there’s no general threshold in Hong Kong).

Our advice: For 99% of iHerb orders to Hong Kong, you won’t have to pay any extra taxes or duties. But if you’re unsure about a specific item, it’s better to check with the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department website.

Payment Methods for iHerb Orders

You can pay for your iherb order using several methods:

  • Bank Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and other major cards.
  • PayPal: A popular international system.
  • Google Pay: Convenient for Android users.
  • AlipayHK (Alipay+™ partner): A very popular and convenient payment method in Hong Kong. If you have an AlipayHK account, this is probably one of the easiest options.

Choose the method that suits you best. They’re all secure.
