In this article, we’ll help you understand all the details of ordering products from iHerb for delivery to Malaysia. We’ll explain how to place an order, what restrictions exist, how the tax system works, and what to expect from delivery.
iHerb Shipping Method to Malaysia
At the beginning of 2025, iHerb was temporarily blocked for customers in Malaysia. The service was restored at the end of February 2025, but with some changes. Currently, only one shipping carrier is available, and free shipping is no longer offered.
At the time our editorial team placed a test order (March 31, 2025), the main and only available carrier offered was Skynet, operating in partnership with Rincos. Here is all the information about this shipping method:
Carrier | Order Limits | Shipping Cost | Taxes and Duties | Estimated Delivery Time | Tracking | Contact Information |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Skynet (Rincos) | Weight: up to 4.5 kg Value: up to $110 USD | RM22.00 | See “Taxes and Customs Duties” section below | 11-16 days | Full | Tel: 603-51032227 Email: [email protected] |

iHerb Malaysia Free Shipping 2025
Currently, iHerb does not offer free shipping to Malaysia – the cost is now fixed for all orders at RM22.00. We contacted iHerb support and found out that they are working on expanding shipping options. In the future, additional carriers might be introduced, and free shipping could become available again. For now, we can only hope for improvements soon.
Taxes and Customs Duties for Parcels from iHerb
Malaysia has two tax systems for imported goods. We strongly recommend paying attention to this to avoid surprises.
- Orders VALUED UP TO RM500 (Low Value Goods – LVG): A 10% Sales Tax is applied to these goods, which is already INCLUDED in the product price you see on iHerb. iHerb pays this tax directly to the Malaysian Customs. When receiving such parcels, you won’t need to pay anything extra.
- Orders VALUED OVER RM500: Formally, if the order value exceeds RM500, it is subject to a 6% GST (Goods and Services Tax), which is not included in the iHerb price and is paid upon delivery along with possible additional fees. However, please note! Given the Skynet carrier limit of $110 USD (around RM515-525), it is currently impossible to order a parcel significantly exceeding RM500 from iHerb.
If you need to order goods worth a larger amount, it’s best to split your order into several parcels, each valued under RM500. However, we advise against placing multiple orders simultaneously. It’s better to wait for the shipping notification for the first parcel before placing the next one. This helps avoid situations where customs might combine your parcels if they arrive on the same flight and calculate taxes based on the total value.
How Long Does iHerb Delivery to Malaysia Take?
In 2025, the delivery time to Malaysia is 11-16 days. We verified this when we placed an order on March 31, 2025, and iHerb informed us we would receive the order between April 11 and 16. Why does it take so long? There are two possibilities: first, iHerb might be shipping to Malaysia directly from its US warehouse, rather than its warehouses in Korea or Hong Kong. Second, there might be lengthy checks at Malaysian customs. In any case, the delivery should take less than two weeks.
What Products Are Prohibited for Ordering?
Malaysian Customs has its own restrictions on imported goods. We checked the Malaysian version of the iHerb website to see how this works for some categories prohibited for import into Malaysia:
- DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone)
- Products containing poppy seeds
- Products containing hemp
Our check showed that iHerb apparently blocks these products for orders to Malaysia – we couldn’t find them. iHerb’s filtering system isn’t perfect. If you accidentally find a product that is prohibited for import into Malaysia, we strongly recommend not ordering it. It’s better not to take the risk to avoid problems with customs (confiscation, delay).
